Step 1:

• Navigate to the Instances menu under Compute.

• Click into the instance to be imaged.

• Click the ‘Volumes’ tab.

  

  
  
  

• Clicking on the row of the boot volume, a button ribbon appears.

• Inside the ‘More’ dropdown menu, click the create image button.

  

  
  
  

• A brief wizard appears, to name the image and whether to make this image public.

• Clicking ‘Ok’ generates this image.
