Video Guide
Document Guide
Step 1:
-
If this is the first time making a network, it is advised to first make the private network, and which will allow the network to appear in the routers creation wizard.
-
Clicking on the create button inside the networking > networks menu will open the creation wizard.
Step 2:
-
Give it a descriptive name and click next.
-
The next menu will ask you for IPs of the subnet, gate way, and a range of addresses to allocate.
-
The subnet entered here can be any of the private network address schemes, such as the 192.168, or 172.16, or the 10. network.
-
The gateway IP will be probably the typical X.X.X.1.
-
And the IPs allocated in this subnet will likely be the rest of the available network, so X.X.X.2 – X.X.X.254
-
In the DNS text-field, enter the DNS server for this network to use.
-
Clicking Okay will create this network, and it will shortly appear in the network list.
