Via Instance Properties:

• Navigate to the Instances menu under Compute.

• Click into an instance to open its properties menu.

• Clicking on the attach button in the 'Security Groups' tab in the near center of the page, will open an attach wizard.

  

  
  
  

• Select the Security Group to attach, and the network to apply the group toward.

• Clicking Ok will apply this Security Group, and will appear in the list shortly.

  

  
  
  

Via Security Group Menu:

• Navigate to the Security Groups menu under Networking.

• Click into the Security Group that will be attached.

• Clicking on the 'Attach' button will open the attach wizard.

  

  
  
  

• Select the Instance and the corresponding Network to apply the group to.

• Clicking 'Ok' will attach the Security Group to the Instance apply the policy toward the specified network.
