Snapshotting a Volume

Step 1:

A snapshot is a blueprint or reference to a volume, but it is not a volume, and is the main way Enseva Cloud Services handles data back ups.

Data Protection plans take periodic snapshots of volumes, incase they need to be restored at a later date.

Snapshots can be restored as a volume or as an image to spawn instances from.

Navigate to the Block Storage menu under Storage.

Search for, or find the volume to snapshot.

The snapshot button appears by clicking on the row, or clicking into the intended volume.

Click the snapshot button, name it and click Ok.

The snapshot will appear in the Snapshots menu.
